Termite Services

Mariners Pest Control offers a variety of services to meet your needs. We offer localized drywood termite treatments, subterranean termite treatments, structural fumigations, and escrow inspections with clearances when you are selling your home.

Local Treatment

Locally Treating is a term for the application of California State approved products to certain areas of your home where termites have been found. Local Treatments are considered any kind of treatment for drywood termites other than structural fumigation.

Fumigation

Fumigation is a term used to describe the application of a California State approved gas called sulfur fluoride and is commonly referred to by the Dow Agro Sciences brand name, Vikane. This treatment is recommended when your home is found to have several areas of drywood termite infestation and other locations are suspected to exist within inaccessible areas including wall voids. A Fumigation requires you to temporarily move out of your home while it is tented.

Wood Repair

Wood Repair is usually done in conjunction with Local Treatments, Structural Fumigations(tenting) or when dry rot is found. With extermination, wood is replaced for aesthetic or structural purposes.

Orange Oil Treatment

Orange Oil Treatment is a natural and less toxic method of getting rid of termites. Orange Oil is scientifically known as D-limonene, an extract taken from Valencia orange rinds that kills termites on contact. Many of our customers opt for this method when it is feasible. Be sure to ask your Termite Inspector if this is an option for you.

Yearly Prevention

Mariners Pest Control offers Yearly Prevention, a form of termite insurance that takes care of the yearly maintenance on your home that includes a termite inspection and local applications if necessary. Be sure to ask your Termite Inspector for this service.
